Vladislav Doronin on his worldwide portfolio of one-of-a-kind resortsPosted 04.24.2019
Vladislav Doronin has come a long way since leaving Russia in 1985 with $250 dollars to his name. Doronin recently told British GQ about his rise from tourist to commodities trader to real estate mogul to, with his purchase of Aman, hotelier. Doronin, long an Aman guest and aficionado, wants to expand the collection of intimate retreats with the unassuming, warm hospitality of a gracious private home to America’s cities, where he has had success with residential projects like Missoni Baia, a unique collection of Edgewater condos on the shores of Biscayne Bay. Missoni Baia, which is Doronin’s collaboration with Italian fashion house Missoni, comes complete with breathtaking views of the waterfront, of Downtown Miami, infinity and lap pools, a large private spa, and elevated tennis courts worthy of an Aman resort.
