Biscayne Bay Kayak TourPosted 07.22.2021
Miami is known for its haute couture, world-class cuisine, and extraordinary nightlife. But the city’s natural wonders are also a part of what makes the area so unique. And there’s no better place to experience it all in high style than right on the water at the design-forward and amenity-filled Midtown Miami Edgewater condos of Missoni Baia, located between the Design District and the sparkling waters of Biscayne Bay.
You could spend a lifetime here shopping and dining at smart boutiques and top-flight restaurants. But take some time to get to know the nature surrounding you at Missoni Baia with a kayak or paddleboard trip around Biscayne Bay. The bay offers a tranquil respite from the vibrant, always-on-the-go action Miami is known for, with calm blue-green waters, small islands, and plenty of wildlife to enjoy. It’s time to get out there!
Whether professional or novice, kayaking, and paddleboarding are delightful and easy ways to explore and have fun on the water. These activities are also a great way to stay in shape since paddling exercises the arm, back, and core muscles. To get the most out of the experience, we suggest calling in at Biscayne Bay Paddleboards & Kayaks, just 15 minutes away from Missoni Baia. This family-owned business provides the equipment, knowledge, and customer service to make your day of paddling a smooth ride. They also donate a portion of each rental to help maintain and preserve the splendor of Biscayne Bay. Go it alone and rent a paddleboard or kayak for a few hours of fun on the water. It’s an exceptional way to see the sights and burn a few calories while enjoying Miami’s near-perfect weather. Or, book a guided tour to get a deeper knowledge of one of Florida’s natural treasures. The tours (1.5 to 3 hours) are offered on weekends only, and they make a perfect local escape for you and your friends and family.
As you skim across the water in an easy-to-maneuver kayak, you’ll see the stunning Miami skyline and boats sailing along in the distance. Closer to your vessel, keep your eyes peeled for some of Miami’s favorite aquatic residents. Observe dolphins jumping and playing. Take a selfie with curious manatees poking their eyes above the water. Or sit back and marvel while egrets and pelicans fly through the blue Miami sky. Take a break from the sun under the bridges of the glamorous Venetian Islands and watch the comings and goings of its residents. Or work on your tan and have a snack on one of the sandy atolls in the bay.
Once you’re back on land, head home to East Edgewater and the Miami waterfront condos now for sale at Missoni Baia to unwind. Perhaps a massage and a bit of steam are in order at the on-site
spa, followed by a cocktail by the pool as you look out over Biscayne Bay and reminisce about the day’s adventures.

School’s out for summer! That means cookouts, more glorious Miami weather, and plenty of free time to revel in the best of the season. The East Edgewater Miami condos at Missoni Baia offer a full suite of luxury amenities — from the whimsical Kids’ Club to the array of stunning swimming and soaking pools — that allows residents to play, swim, relax, and luxuriate. It’s like being on vacation all summer long.
To entertain the youngest Missoni Baia residents, there is the Kids’ Club, a colorful indoor space designed with playful touches like garden gnome stools and Missoni-inspired butterfly patterns adorning the walls. The club’s playhouse — which includes soft cushions for lounging, a collection of books for kids, tables for coloring, and blackboards and chalk for creating and displaying the latest artworks — allows for hours of fun and exploration. And the outdoor Kids’ Play Area, with its lush greenery and friendly turtle sculptures, provides a splash pad for cooling off on hot summer days.
For adults, the Bayfront Terrace offers a truly spectacular cantilevered bayside pool, overlooking Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami, for a seemingly infinite horizon of sparklingly clear blue water. Residents can spend their afternoons sunbathing on the Missoni-designed lounge chairs, or pass evenings enjoying sunsets over the bay. For a full workout, you’ll find an Olympic-size lap pool, flanked on both sides by comfortably cushioned lounge seats, perfect for rooting on — or simply admiring — the swimmers completing another refreshing lap.
Whether lounging poolside with a late-morning mimosa, or watching the kids splash through the afternoon, the amenities at Missoni Baia let residents take in sweeping views of Biscayne Bay and the city skyline from a perch high above the East Edgewater neighborhood. Best of all, these luxurious and stylish choices for fun and relaxation will make summer — and the whole year — peak vacation time.

The Best Golf Courses Near Missoni BaiaPosted 06.09.2021
Looking for a membership at a premier Miami golf club? Edgewater is close to some of the finest in Florida — boasting championship-grade fairways rich in golfing heritage, plus superlative dining for post-game indulgence. Here are four of the best clubs to tee off from.
One of Miami’s most iconic courses, the Biltmore Golf Course was designed in 1925 by the great Donald Ross, and is located on the salubrious grounds of the Seville Cathedralinspired Biltmore Hotel. Get kitted out in the pro shop before hitting the 18-hole course, featuring USGA-specified greens, lush with TifEagle Bermuda Grass. Biltmore Golf Course is steeped in sporting history; it was where the lucrative Miami – Biltmore Open used to be held, and has hosted a roll call of celebrities, from Babe Ruth to Tiger Woods.
Turnberry Isle Country Club
Less than a half hour due northeast from Midtown Miami’s Edgewater condos, Turnberry Isle Country Club offers not one, but two championship courses — totalling 36 holes of worldclass golfing. Play in the footsteps of PGA and LPGA tour pros — first tackling the Soffer Course, followed by the more challenging Miller Course. High-caliber caddies are on hand to assist you, while staff will advise you on your swing. Celebrate your new handicap with a post-game visit to Bourbon Steak, tucking into Wagyu striploin and craft cocktails.
La Gorce Country Club
The legendary La Gorce Country Club is a brisk trip across the Julia Tuttle Causeway from East Edgewater — making it particularly convenient for Missoni Baia residents. Jack Nicklaus himself had a hand in the current design of the course, which is known for its wellgroomed greens, backdropped by the Miami Beach skyline. You’ll need an invitation to become a member, but once you’re in, La Gorce’s 18-hole championship course, and one of Miami’s most prestigious country clubs, will be at your feet.
Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club
Arnold Palmer named this in his top 16 in the world — and it’s little wonder given Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club‘s magnificently maintained par-71 course. This Biscayne Bay golfing haven is embellished with breathtaking beauty: lush mangroves, undulating waterways, and resident peacocks. Golf isn’t the only sport on offer; you can also take to the clay tennis courts and junior Olympic-sized pool, or even charter a yacht. The dining at Deering Bay is exquisite; wind down after an afternoon on the fairway with Maine lobster and Champagne.
Press Roundup: Flocking to MiamiPosted 05.20.2021
Missoni Baia continues to be the talk of the town, with coverage of these Edgewater condos marking its soaring sales as it passes the halfway mark in construction. The Next Miami reports that construction on the 57-story tower, designed by Asymptote Architecture’s Hani Rashid, continues on pace, with 53 stories already completed and each week adding another story to the tower. Sales at the legendary Italian fashion house’s first branded residential tower have also been making headlines, with a surge in sales in the last 60 days, according to Globe St.
Buyers have been flocking to Missoni Baia in tandem with the white-hot Miami luxury real estate market. Miami continues to attract domestic buyers with its stellar amenities and a lifestyle unlike any on offer in other major US cities. In an interview with Miami Herald, OKO Group’s Vladislav Doronin, who developed Missoni Baia in partnership with Cain International, noted the attraction of Miami, especially after more than a year of living with the pandemic. According to Doronin, “Now also people are coming because Miami has a nice style of living, not only because of the weather but you can live a normal life here.”
The appeal of Miami is universal. “Everyone wants to enjoy life, to go to restaurants, walk on the street, go on the beach,” said Doronin. The luxury Miami waterfront condos for sale at Missoni Baia have a particularly enticing appeal for future residents, thanks to its luxury amenities. As Doronin added, “At Missoni Baia you get five pools, a gym and even a spa for pets. There’s a tennis court. You can’t get that in New York.”
Due to its favorable tax structure and business environment, savvy buyers will continue to flock to Miami long after the pandemic, according to Jonathan Goldstein, CEO of Cain International, which has partnered with OKO Group in the development of Missoni Baia. As Goldstein told The Miami Herald, “Who isn’t going to want outdoor space in a warm place? Miami has every box ticked: the quality of residential real estate, entertainment, sports, business.” According to Goldstein, Missoni Baia’s location and views simply cannot be replicated elsewhere.
Vanessa Grout, CEO of OKO Real Estate, explained to Globe St. that nearly a thousand people have been moving to Florida daily. “The pandemic, coupled with people and businesses looking to relocate to tax-friendly states with reduced business and living expenses, is enticing out-of-state residents to make the move to Florida,” said Grout. Missoni Baia is nearing top-off with an anticipated completion date at the end of the year, as buyers continue to flock to these waterfront homes to take advantage of their unique work and lifestyle offerings.
Italian Style in the Miami ClimatePosted 05.19.2021
The world of high fashion changed forever when the first Missoni garments hit the Florence runway in 1967. And now, the Missoni vision is poised to usher in another revolution, this time in the world of luxury housing. Missoni Baia, the forthcoming collection of Edgewater condos in Miami from OKO Group and the celebrated Italian fashion house, will be the architectural embodiment of the Missoni style, complete with items from the Missoni Home collection dotting the public areas. Here’s a brief history of the Missoni family and the iconic aesthetic that bears their name.
The Missoni vision was born from a simple collaboration between newlyweds Ottavio and Rosita, who set up a knitwear business in Italy in 1953. The couple, inspired by innovations in weaving technology, began making clothes with multicolored zigzag patterns. And after a little trial and error, a new fashion statement was born. Missoni’s soon-to-be-iconic style caused a scandal in 1967, when their models took to the runway in Florence without undergarments, cementing both the Missoni style and attitude in the zeitgeist. By the 1970s, Missoni’s look had arrived in New York City and spread throughout the fashion world — it had become the height of cool-girl fashion.
Now, more than 50 years after the runway debut, the Missoni style has expanded from technicolor jumpsuits to a range of clothing, home decor, and, now, branded residences along the shores of Biscayne Bay. Design for the homes at Missoni Baia is being overseen by creative director Angela Missoni, whose vision has brought the fashion house into the 21st century with collaborations between Missoni and leading designers. The Missoni Baia team tapped Asymptote Architecture, Paris Forino Interior Design, and Enea Garden Design for the project, harnessing the experience and knowledge of these internationally renowned firms to help bring the Missoni vision to life.
The result is a collection of spacious homes with minimalist interiors and sweeping views that take full advantage of the Miami climate by offering plenty of private and communal outdoor space. Missoni’s iconic bars of color grace the public areas, including swimming pools and the building’s large private spa, while Enzo Enea’s verdant landscaping puts residents in touch with the natural world right on the waterfront. When the tower is complete, it will stand as a unique testament to the enduring style of the Italian fashion house, and represent a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live inside the vibrant world of Missoni fashion.
Missoni Sports at HomePosted 04.22.2021
Maison Missoni co-founder Ottavio Missoni knew a thing or two about sports — after all, he competed as an Olympic hurdler in the 1948 Summer Olympics. Along with his wife, Rosita, he also pioneered the development of voguish Italian sportswear. It’s apt, then, that Missoni Baia offers its residents a slew of stylish sports and fitness amenities.
Tennis is a timeless way to while away an afternoon. Take to Missoni Baia’s elevated court to play against your partner, or invite friends around for doubles. The full-size clay court is great for effortlessly exercising in the Miami sunshine — plus, any stray serves will be caught by the surrounding fence. Relax with chilled drinks afterward on the bayside terrace. And if your backhand’s a little rusty, book classes at Grand Bay Club‘s world-class tennis center — it’s less than half an hour’s drive from your condo.
Making a Splash
Ottavio Missoni would be proud of this Edgewater condo’s swimming facilities. Take a cooling break from the midday sun with a dip in the lounge pool. Or, bump things up a notch by honing your front crawl in the Olympic-size swimming pool. There’s yet another outdoor pool to enjoy that overlooks the sparkling waters of Biscayne Bay. And you can soothe your muscles afterward with a soak in the whirlpool spa, before drying off on one of the poolside daybeds. On-site locker rooms let you refresh and change without having to return to your condo.
A Gym With a View
Not only does Missoni Baia boast a 3,208-square-foot gym, but this particular gym commands magnificent 180 degree views of the bay. Work out to suitably themed tunes — think “Miami Groove” by Betty Wright and Bonde Do Rolê’s “Miami Beach” — while taking in the inspiring panorama and getting toned. A private training room provides the space you need to practice your more involved workout techniques in peace. And once you’ve hit your goals for the day, treat yourself right with a session in the steam and sauna rooms.
The Art of Taking It Easy
Not all workouts need to be strenuous, of course. Missoni Baia’s dedicated yoga studio is ideal for early-morning flexing as the sun rises over the bay. For unwinding on the weekends, why not challenge friends to a few rounds of billiards in the game room, or simply recline on the lounge seating to watch the ball game on the oversized video screen. Because sometimes, sport is best enjoyed with a beer in hand.

But pampering isn’t reserved for special occasions. Make self-care a part of your routine in the 3,300-square-foot gym. Amp up your cardio on state-of-the-art equipment or in the private training room as you work out any and all tension you have while you look out onto the bay.
Are you searching for some inner peace? The best way to find it might just be in the tranquil private yoga studio—stretch, bend, and breathe your way to ultimate bliss any time of day. Then unwind poolside and lounge in the Florida sun or in the whirlpool spa. True Zen has never been this close.
Of course, there are times when you’ll need a little assistance to reach that Zen. That’s where the private massage treatment rooms are beneficial. Swedish, Thai, deep-tissue, or hot-stone—book a masseuse to soothe your sore muscles after a hard day at work or a long day on the beach. There’s truly no greater indulgence than having your body worked on without the added stress of driving to a spa. Once you’re finished, you don’t even have to head to your personal spa-like bathroom at Missoni Baia; simply use the private and luxuriant showers right off the massage room.
No matter what way you choose to relax, know that there are myriad ways to do so from the comfort of your new home at Missoni Baia.
Fine Dining and Fun in the Sun in East EdgewaterPosted 03.22.2021
As Missoni Baia climbs skyward and the move-in date approaches, future residents of these East Edgewater homes are beginning to scout out the local attractions. Edgewater dates back to the 1920s, when it was built as a bayside shopping district. Its modern incarnation comes thanks to a wave of construction in the early 2000s as developers saw the potential in the waterfront locale. Now, the neighborhood is home to public parks, fine dining, and luxury accommodations, as well as being conveniently located within walking distance of Miami’s hip Wynwood neighborhood and the Arts & Entertainment District.
East Edgewater finds its purest expression in Margaret Pace Park, an eight-acre bayfront green space with open lawns, a basketball court, and a dog park, all set against the stunning Miami Beach skyline. History buffs will appreciate the nearby Miami City Cemetery, one of the area’s best-kept secrets, which is home to the final resting places of many city pioneers. And, of course, running the length of Edgewater is Biscayne Bay, inviting boaters with its easy waters and access to the ocean.
Residents of the superlative Edgewater condos at Missoni Baia will move into one of the hottest areas for Latin food in South Florida. Colombian favorite Palo Quemao serves classics like bandeja paisa and empanadas cooked to perfection, while their cinnamon-crusted natas dessert is to die for. For a Peruvian take on seafood, locals love Sabor a Perú, where the fish ceviche is always muy bueno.
But not all of the food around Missoni Baia is picante. Beer aficionados will frequent Kush, the trendy burger chain in nearby Wynwood with a microbrew-focused tap room and kitchen. Fresh ingredients, beef ground in-house, and an eco-conscious philosophy have made Kush a South Florida favorite, though the range of exotic and tasty burgers hasn’t hurt. For an upscale night on the town, residents will head to Beaker & Gray, where world-class cocktails meet an internationally inflected menu, which includes such unique, must-try combinations as maitake mushrooms with yuzu and smoked jalapeño and classics like the Wagyu burger.
After enjoying everything that East Edgewater and its surroundings have to offer, residents of Missoni Baia will return to their luxury homes, set in one of the neighborhood’s tallest towers and graced with a suite of resort-style amenities that capitalize on the building’s waterfront location and the glorious Miami climate. Whether they’re soaking up rays on one of the building’s many landscaped decks, playing a few sets on the elevated tennis court, getting a mani-pedi in the private spa, or simply strolling along the waterfront, residents at Missoni Baia will get the most out of South Florida without leaving the comfort of their own neighborhood. So, why not reach out today and start planning your new East Edgewater life right now?
